It was a delight to attend the opening of the new Exploratree play area at the  St Andrews Botanic Garden . The play area has been designed to focus on improving access to nature, providing education opportunities and increasing ways in which younger people enjoy being in the botanic garden.

Using timbers that arose from damage during Storms Arwen and Barra, the final structure provides a transformational change in the Garden – a significant new asset that builds on the growing interest in younger groups in the botanic garden.

The Exploratree was opened in August 2022, with Margaret Lees (St Andrews Community Trust), Irene Walker (Kilrymont Rotary Club), Cllr Jane Ann Liston, and Sam Green (Green Design).

St Andrews Community Trust was delighted to help fund this great addition for the children to enjoy.
